We are excited to announce that registration for sorority recruitment opens on October 18th! This is an incredible opportunity for your student to explore the enriching world of Greek Life and join a community that fosters friendships, personal growth, and leadership development. Being part of a sorority is about much more than social events: it’s a network of support that can enhance your student’s college experience in numerous ways.
Sororities provide a sense of belonging and connection, creating an immediate network of friends and mentors who share similar values. Through these relationships, your student can build a community that supports their academic goals, personal well-being and future career aspirations. Sororities emphasize leadership and service, offering various opportunities for members to get involved on campus and in the community. Whether through philanthropic events, campus leadership roles, or personal development workshops, your student will grow in ways that prepare them for success far beyond college.
This spring semester, we will partake in Partially Structured Recruitment, where your student will attend a variety of events hosted by the five sororities we have on campus. Your student will be able to create a schedule to connect with each sorority, deepening their understanding of each organization’s values, philanthropy, and service opportunities. We encourage you to talk to your student about this exciting opportunity! Registration opens on October 18th, and we are here to answer any questions you may have as your student embarks on this new chapter in their collegiate journey. If you have any questions about the registration process or sorority recruitment in general, please email involveu@owu.edu or contact Jordyn Ping, Assistant Director of Student Involvement at joping@owu.edu.
