The Ohio Wesleyan community is invited to visit downtown Delaware for First Friday parties, weekly farmers’ markets, and other events! Delaware is a national Main Street community, and Main Street Delaware helps to celebrate the city with a long list of fun, family-friendly happenings.
Just two blocks from Ohio Wesleyan, the city comes alive on the First Friday of every month with a special themed celebration from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. On Friday, September 1, the community enjoyed a Back-to-School bash that included the Marching Bishops!
Every Saturday through Oct. 28, Main Street Delaware hosts a Farmers’ Market from 9 a.m. to noon on South Sandusky Street. The markets feature locally grown fruits, vegetables, flowers, and more, based on what’s in season.
In December, everyone’s invited to a three-day Home for the Holidays celebration that includes a downtown tree lighting and parade.
We hope to see everyone downtown! We’re sure you will enjoy all of the retail shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and other locations that make the city a popular community and tourist destination.
