Ohio Wesleyan’s campus community will welcome the newest class of Bishops and family members to the Opening Convocation Ceremony on Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 4-5 p.m. outdoors on the Rock Quad.<\/p>\n
Campus leaders will share encouraging messages, and OWU’s 17th President, Dr. Matt vandenBerg, will officially open the academic year. Following the Opening Convocation Ceremony, students will carry their class banner and follow the Bishop on their “First Lap.” The First Lap involves an informal march of the incoming class around the academic quad to the center of campus, including touching “the Rock” for good luck.<\/p>\n
The Opening Convocation Ceremony will be live-streamed here<\/a>.
