As a new student, here’s how you’ll be enrolled in your Fall classes (and how you can work with an advisor for any questions or adjustments).
- Complete the New Student Registration Course. This self-paced, online course is located in OWU’s learning management system, Blackboard. Log in using your OWU username and password. Be sure to expand each section for all of the details and to take the relevant placement tests.
- Later in the summer, the advising team will work behind the scenes to enroll you in an initial set of Fall classes based on course availability and your answers to the Pre-Registration Survey. The survey is located in the New Student Registration Course and is DUE June 15.
- On July 9, look for an email titled “Your Fall OWU Class Schedule.” This email will explain how to view the classes you’ve been pre-registered for. It will also share ways to connect with an advising team member to discuss or adjust your schedule. Advising appointments and drop-in advising will be available from mid-July through mid-August.
- The Office of Holistic Advising is here for you until–and after–your advisor is assigned in mid-August. Ask your advising questions by contacting the advising team at academicadvising@owu.edu.
