Join us for the upcoming Hispanic Film Festival, which will run from the end of October to mid-November. We have curated a remarkable lineup of films that we believe will deeply resonate with and inspire you:
- Oct 23, Tótem (Dir. Lila Avilés, 2023) – México
- Nov. 5, 20,000 Species of Bees / 20.000 especies de abejas (Dir. Estibaliz Urresola, 2023) – Spain
- Nov. 13, They Scream Freedom / Ellos gritan libertad (Documentary, Dir. Melinda Raebyne, 2024) – Cuba
- Nov. 19, Radical (Dir. Christopher Zalla, 2023) – Mexico/US
This year’s festival is generously supported by many departments, programs, and offices and we are very fortunate to bring two acclaimed directors—Christopher Zalla (Radical) and Melinda Raebyne (They Scream Freedom)—to campus. They will host a workshop on the Art of Filmmaking and talk about their professional career, along with a Q&A session following their respective screenings.
