We are excited to welcome you to OWU! Please review these important reminders before move-in.
Select a Move-In Time
Students must select a time through Res Life Portal → Assignments. This reduces congestion but does not limit the time available to settle in.
Begin at Hamilton-Williams Campus Center
All students must check in and pick up their room key at Hamilton-Williams before going to their residence hall. Students will then receive directions to their hall. Please follow all posted traffic routes.
Prepare for Unloading
RAs and Camp Leaders will assist with unloading. Please:
- Label every item with the student’s name and room number.
- Remove unnecessary packaging before arriving.
- Take move-in trash to the designated dumpster.
- Decide who is responsible for parking the car after unloading
Loft and Bunk Kits
Complete the Fall 2026 Loft & Bunk Kit Request Form to request a kit. The $100 nonrefundable rental fee will be added to the student’s account. Requests received by August 3 will be installed before August 20. Later or early-arrival installations cannot be guaranteed. Roommates should coordinate before submitting; both students must submit a form if both beds will be lofted.
Dining Plans
Students may change their plan through September 9 at Res Life Portal → Dining → Dining Plans → Fall 2026. Billing adjustments will appear the following day as separate charge and credit entries.
Student ID Photo
Confirm that your photo has been submitted and approved through MyPhoto.

Note: If you are arriving on campus early for an NCAA fall sport or another pre-orientation program, information about the move-in process and times will be sent directly by the coach or program director.
