Spring Semester Textbook Information

Ohio Wesleyan University partners with Barnes & Noble College to operate the Campus Bookstore.  A signature program of Barnes & Noble College, “First-Day Complete,” is a course materials fulfillment program that ensures students have their required course materials on the first day of class. The program provides any and all required textbooks, lab manuals, access codes, and digital textbook versions to eligible students for a flat rental fee of $275/semester. For more in-depth information about the First Day Complete program, please visit and bookmark the FAQ page. Next Steps: Incoming Spring 2025 students should check for a personalized email from Barnes & Noble College in their OWU inbox on or around Wednesday, 12/11, which lists their courses that have required materials. Please note:

  • If a particular course does not require materials, it will not be listed (this does not mean that you aren’t registered for the course.  If you have registration questions, please contact the Registrar’s Office).
  • If none of your SP 25 courses require materials, you will not receive an email, and you should opt-out of the program to avoid an unnecessary charge.
Then, on Monday, 12/16, you will receive another email from Barnes & Noble College (if you got one on 12/11) asking you to select a delivery preference for your personalized bundle of books.
Action is required to confirm your participation in the program!  Barnes & Noble assumes each student will participate in the program, but they don’t assemble your book bundle until confirmation is given by the student by acting upon the 12/16 email.  Or, if you wish to opt out of the First Day Complete program and take responsibility for purchasing your own materials, the opt-out window will be open from 12/16 through 1/23.
