I&#8217;ve shifted the feminist theory discussion to next week, Monday, November 9, to make way for Wednesday, November 4: reserved for a\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff99cc\"><em>Day of Delicate Detachment (everyone BYO contribution)<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Applying feminist theory to mapping and GIS \u00a0may seem weird, but it correlates with some of the broader issues we have been engaged in the class, including the entire idea of crowdsourcing (it&#8217;s non-hierarchical, pluralistic, empowering, and so on) as well as the web GIS technologies, which embrace some of these ideas at their core.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Feminist Data Visualization&#8221;<\/strong> by\u00a0<strong>Catherine D\u2019Ignazio<\/strong> and <strong>Lauren F.
