Who we are and what we do…

Welcome to the Ohio Wesleyan University Chapter of the Food Recovery Network (FRN), a nationwide organization committed to reducing food waste on college campuses.

We are one of the environmental organizations at OWU (along with the Citizens’ Climate Lobby) and are affiliated with the Department of Environment and Sustainability. As OWU FRN, we recover the leftover dining hall food destined for the landfill and bring it to a non-profit partner in Delaware, Ohio. This partner then redistributes the recovered food to those experiencing food insecurity.

If you want to participate, fill out our interest form. When you join, we will share information on organizational meetings, sign-up schedules, and contacts.

The above menus provide details about our efforts.
