TPG and the OWU Connection, and the process from this class give you <strong>agency to actively shape your education<\/strong> and future.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Don&#8217;t get bogged down: Do something: i<\/strong>t need not be perfect; everything you ever dreamed of, your ultimate life&#8217;s goals.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Just do something. Then do something more.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Snag Opportunities:<\/strong>\u00a0even if a project or collaborator, or internship may not be ideal or perfect (whatever that means) take advantage of the opportunity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Collaboration<\/strong>: find and use the right collaborators: faculty, librarians, writing center, OWU Career Connection, experts elsewhere (places you want an internship), other students, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Figure out what you need to know to do what you want:<\/strong> courses, but sometimes what you need to know is not in a course.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Alternatives: directed readings and independent studies, online courses and learning (use OWU Connection funds if there is a cost), read books, talk to people.<\/li>\n<li>But also: find collaborators that fill in your gaps in knowledge and know-how.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>It&#8217;s Going to take Time:<\/strong> a couple of semesters, years&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Make Time for this work<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>It is at least as important as taking classes<\/li>\n<li>You will have a tough time making a TPG work <strong>if you don&#8217;t work it into your schedule<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>For credit work (all majors have these options)\n<ul>\n<li>ENVS 490: Independent Study<\/li>\n<li>ENVS 491: Directed Readings<\/li>\n<li>ENVS 495: Internship<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If possible, work parts of your efforts into projects in other courses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>AI Literacy is Vital<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It&#8217;s not going away for 90% of professionals\n<ul>\n<li>it has a nasty impact on the environment (energy use)<\/li>\n<li>it is wiping out swaths of jobs<\/li>\n<li>it is generating a tsunami of slop<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table style=\"border-collapse: collapse;width: 100%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%\">\n<h2 class=\"font-claude-response-heading text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-0.5\">AI + Your Environmental Career: Key Strategies<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"font-claude-response-subheading text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">1. <strong>Transform Ideas into Actionable Projects (extending Phase 1)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul class=\"[&amp;:not(:last-child)_ul]:pb-1 [&amp;:not(:last-child)_ol]:pb-1 list-disc space-y-2.5 pl-7\">\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Use AI for brainstorming and project refinement, as you did with Worksheet 1<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Combine AI-generated possibilities that take into account values and community needs<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Position yourself as someone who can move from AI-assisted ideation to real-world implementation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"font-claude-response-subheading text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">2. <strong>Develop &#8220;Boots-on-the-Ground&#8221;
