Values shape what projects and approaches will genuinely motivate you.<\/p>\n<h3>Complete the Assessment<\/h3>\n<p>Review the <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.owu.edu\/envs110-198-498\/projects\/assessing-your-environmental-values\/\">Environmental Values page<\/a> and identify:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Your top 3-4 values from Schwartz&#8217;s 10 types<\/li>\n<li>Your environmental values profile using Bouman&#8217;s 4 categories<\/li>\n<li>How these values connect to your academic\/professional interests<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Write Your Analysis<\/h3>\n<p>Honestly assess your values &#8211; this isn&#8217;t about having the &#8220;right&#8221; environmental values, but understanding your authentic motivations.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Part C:<\/span> Three Project Topics (1 page)<\/h2>\n<h3>Generating Ideas<\/h3>\n<p>A viable project idea is vital! Use your instructor, the Science Librarian, potentially other OWU faculty and staff, or off-campus professionals to discuss your ideas. Develop three potential TPG project topics that could become funded undergraduate research. Each topic idea should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Connect to your values and interests<\/li>\n<li>Be feasible as a TPG-funded project (focused, doable, within cost parameters)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>For this section, write three potential topic ideas.<\/strong> Don&#8217;t spend too much time on the original three ideas, and write up a few sentences on each. I&#8217;ll have you talk about your favored topic in class. See the schedule.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1fNZovAxLJaHYuMkYaGZu0FgsSXhlViJnRahIvFbmhkM\/edit?usp=sharing\">AI Worksheet 1<\/a><\/strong> and complete it and converse with Gemini (see below)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Also for this section, add your three refined topic ideas,<\/strong> after your work with AI, and note your favored topic.
