The Sagan Academic Resource Center (ARC) seeks energetic and enthusiastic students interested in making a positive impact on their fellow Bishops! Students must be in at least their second year at OWU and must provide a recommendation letter from at least one professor in their tutoring subject. Students also must hold at least a 3.0 GPA in the tutoring subject and must demonstrate subject matter expertise in the subjects and\/or courses in which they would like to tutor. Required training for all new tutors will be provided by the Sagan ARC center coordinators.<\/p>\n
Support is needed for the following courses:<\/p>\n
BUS 210; ECON (110,277); FIN (280, 331); CHEM (230); BIO (120); SPAN (110,111); GEOL (110); GEOG (110), SOAN (111, 300.8), ENG 266, DATA (300); PSYC (110)<\/p>\n
Primary Responsibilities include:<\/p>\n
Provide supplemental instruction for students to better their understanding of their course work.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Check the scheduler weekly for student appointments.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Reach out to students on a weekly basis to check-in, set up appointments, and meet, as needed or required.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Record appointment information weekly on a shared Google log sheet<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Complete other related academic support duties as assigned.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
