You are now able to begin submitting proposals for the 2019-2020 Student Assistantship Program! Proposals will be accepted until Fri., March 8.<\/p>\n
The Student Assistantship Program (StAP) provides Ohio Wesleyan students with hands-on experiences in a professional setting. The StAP program enables students to translate what they have learned in the classroom into practical solutions in a real-world work environment here on campus. Students will work 6 hours in a week for 15 weeks during the Fall and Spring Semesters. StAP supervisors provide a valuable learning experience that helps students with:<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Preparing for careers or graduate\/professional school.
\n\u00b7 Developing communication skills by working with faculty\/staff in a paraprofessional role.
\n\u00b7 Translating academic concepts into practical solutions.
\n\u00b7 Providing service to the university.
\n\u00b7 Earning a meaningful letter of recommendation.
\n\u00b7 Gaining marketable professional skills.<\/p>\n
