The Faculty-Student Committee currently has two vacancies!\u00a0The role that students play on this committee is to offer input on issues from a student perspective.<\/p>\n
General functions of the committee, as defined by the Faculty Handbook, are as follows:<\/p>\n
1) To inform the campus community about assessment and assessment issues.<\/p>\n
2) To offer assistance to academic departments and administrative units in the construction and implementation of assessment plans and assessment instruments.<\/p>\n
3) To develop and implement, in consultation with academic departments and others, an assessment plan for our general education program.<\/p>\n
4) To respond to the Higher Learning Commission’s initiatives regarding assessment. (The Higher Learning Commission is our regional accreditation agency).<\/p>\n
5) To communicate in a timely manner with the Chairs of the Academic Policy Committee and the Committee on Teaching, Learning and Cross-Cultural Programs.<\/p>\n
