The Black Student Union invites you to Straight Talk, a panel about advocacy, intersectionality, and civil issues. During this event, students will have an opportunity to ask questions and have candid conversation. A mission of the BSU is to create an environment where difficult conversations can be had in a healthy and safe way. We want to open such a discussion to all folks on campus.<\/p>\n

In light of Black History Month and the social state of our nation, this is an opportune time to have this panel. Some topics may include: intersectionality, mass incarceration, colorblindness, post-racial, mass deportation, and sexuality.<\/p>\n

Our panelists will be:<\/p>\n

Lisa Ho, Associate Chaplain.<\/div>\n
Charles Kellom, Assistant Dean for Multicultural Student Affairs.<\/div>\n
Paul Dean, Professor of Sociology\/Anthropology.<\/div>\n
