You\u2019re invited to join the Bishop Backers on Feb. 17 for Community Day 2018, a free Delaware celebration held at Ohio Wesleyan.<\/p>\n
The event will include free admission to the varsity men\u2019s and women\u2019s basketball doubleheader (with a canned food donation) and a Delaware Expo showcasing local nonprofit organizations and businesses.<\/p>\n
Interfaith Service Teams and other OWU groups wishing to participate in\/fundraise at the expo are asked to register before Feb. 5 at www.owu.edu\/BishopBackers<\/a>.<\/p>\n The event will feature an indoor children\u2019s play area courtesy of the Delaware Community Center YMCA, a visit from Columbus Zoo animals, a chance to meet OWU athletes, and free raffles for prizes including a big-screen television.<\/p>\n Attendees also are invited to watch the Battling Bishop men\u2019s and women\u2019s basketball teams take on the Gators of Allegheny College. The women\u2019s game tips off at 1 p.m., and the men\u2019s game follows at 3 p.m. The community expo will be held from noon to 3:30 p.m. in the field house, with zoo animals visiting from 2:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.<\/p>\n All canned food donations collected will benefit the Delaware County Hunger Alliance, which collaborates with organizations countywide to help address hunger and food insecurity issues.<\/p>\n We’ll see you Feb. 17!<\/p>\n
