I am pleased to announce several improvements in our ability to provide maintenance and housekeeping services.<\/p>\n
First, we have upgraded the\u00a0Report A Problem form<\/a>\u00a0through which requests for these services are submitted by students, faculty, and staff. (A link to the form also is available via the Quick Links inside the\u00a0myOWU portal<\/a>\u00a0and in each morning\u2019s\u00a0OWU Daily.)<\/p>\n As before, when a concern is reported, several of us receive email notifications about the request and a work order is created. Now, we also will receive a work order number that we can reference when contacting maintenance and custodial staff to resolve the issue.<\/p>\n Second, we have instructed our maintenance technicians and custodians to leave a notice on the door of any space where a problem is reported indicating that work was performed there, whether parts are on order, and whether the job is done.<\/p>\n Finally, representatives from housekeeping and maintenance will be reaching out to faculty department chairs and members of the Residential Life staff to review performance and discuss areas of concern regarding campus buildings.<\/p>\n We are working hard to streamline processes and address concerns quickly, and we appreciate your partnership.
