Lincoln Avenue, Delaware.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Lance\u2019s widow, Judy, and their children, James, Marie, and Paul, wish to invite everyone to attend and then stay afterward for a covered dish\/potluck dinner. During the meal, friends and family will be invited to share a favorite memory of the 28-year OWU faculty member.<\/p>\n<p>In 2014, Dr. Lance discussed his teaching as part of the Heritage Day Celebration of \u201cNo Higher Honor: A Half-Century of Celebrated Teaching Faculty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m a strong subscriber of education (being) what you know when the test is over,\u201d he\u00a0said in an interview with professor emerita Dr. Louise Musser. \u2026 \u201cAnd so, I have structured all my teaching to (support) that teaching philosophy. \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Watch the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=drU2iXh96rc\">complete interview<\/a> on YouTube and visit the OWU\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/OhioWesleyanUniversity\/photos\/a.484548481898.263777.156929166898\/10153801359976899\/?type=3&amp;theater\">Facebook post<\/a>\u00a0to read the many heartfelt tributes shared in his memory.<\/p>\n<p>If you are unable to attend Dr. Lance\u2019s services, please know that Peale Chapel is always open to you, including all day\u00a0<span>today, with Chaplain\u2019s Office and Counseling staff available for anyone seeking additional support.
