Want to make connections with alumni and learn how Ohio Wesleyan raises support for nearly every part of University life? Join the Annual Giving office as the Development Intern for Fall 2021 and Spring 2022!<\/p>\n
The Annual Giving Development Intern works with the full Annual Giving team to engage, solicit, and thank alumni and parent donors to OWU. The selected candidate will help prepare for fundraising events, such as the Team OWU golf outing and We Are OWU, develop materials for potential donors to OWU, and help say thanks to those who give.<\/p>\n
Examples of assignments:
\n\u2022 Create and update staff, donor, and volunteer resources, such as gift impact stories, scripts for volunteer fundraisers, and volunteer recruitment materials
\n\u2022 Assist with presidential briefings for Annual Giving events
\n\u2022 Make thank you calls and write thank you notes to donors
\n\u2022 Record outreach and update biographical information in alumni records system
\n\u2022 Handle special projects, assist with Annual Giving and Advancement events, and other duties as assigned<\/p>\n
Required skills:
\n\u2022 Knowledge of Microsoft word
\n\u2022 Phone etiquette\/ability to make phone calls
\n\u2022 Legible handwriting
\n\u2022 Willingness to promote Ohio Wesleyan University’s mission
\n\u2022 Understanding of and respect for confidentiality<\/p>\n
