Park Chan Wook’s latest masterpiece “The Handmaiden” is premiering on campus as the grand finale to OWU’s First International Queer Film Festival on Apr. 4 at 7 p.m. in the Benes Rooms! A widely critically acclaimed film “The Handmaiden” tells the story of Sook-hee, a young Korean woman hired to be the handmaiden of a reclusive Japanese Lady during colonial Korea. Sook-hee secretly plans to rob Lady Hideko of her inheritance with a con-man pretending to be a Japanese Count, but things take wild twist. Warnings for explicit sexual content and violence.
