The Friends of the Delaware County District Library (DCDL) is bringing Piper Kerman, author of Orange is the New Black, to OWU for a lecture in Gray Chapel on Jan. 20, 2016.
Kerman will give a 45-minute lecture on her memoir about the 13 months she spent in the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, CT. In her compelling, moving, and often hilarious book, she explores the experience of incarceration and the intersection of her life with the lives of women she met while in prison.
Her lecture begins at 7 p.m., followed by audience Q&A. Books will be available for purchase at the event and book signing starts at 8:15 p.m.
