With the help of OWU’s Service Learning Office I am hoping to raise awareness about the stigma homeless people face when menstruating, and how shelters rarely, if ever, receive donations of menstrual hygiene products. These products are a necessity, and without them, many people get infections or other diseases and feel a lack of dignity.
Throughout the week (Nov. 16-20), SAGE’s front door will be propped open with a box inside to donate items or monetary donations from 4-6 p.m. Boxes will also be located in Ham-Wil, Slocum, Elliott, SCSC, and at Welch’s help desk.
