Please join us for our first teaching circle of the year at 12:10 p.m. today, Sept. 28, in Merrick 204. Our topic will be Recognizing the Whole Student: how we balance the oft competing aims of accountability, fairness, and support. In other words, how can we ensure that we hold students accountable while recognizing that they are under significant outside pressures (e.g. financial, social, mental)? This topic was inspired by an article suggested by Sarah Bunnell, “Are you being rigorous or intolerant?” at goo.gl/oCD3w2 which should spark a lively discussion.
