Special Olympics program is in need of many volunteers. The Columbus Sports Classic will be held on May 7 at Whetstone High School. Opening Ceremonies begin at 9:30 a.m. and then competition in athletics, including: track & field, bocce, powerlifting, and volleyball will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until about 4:00 p.m. Last year 756 athletes were attempting to qualify for the State Summer Games. It takes approximately 175 volunteers to assist in all. If you are willing to volunteer, please send me an email and I will send you the remainder of the information.
