Ohio’s First Lady, Karen Kasich, in collaboration with the Ohio Arts Council and in recognition of the annual Governor’s Holocaust Commemoration, is highlighting the work of sculptor and Holocaust survivor Alfred Tibor, and featuring the works of Marty Kalb, OWU professor emeritus, through a special exhibition at the Governor’s Residence this month.
Kalb taught painting, drawing and modern art history at Ohio Wesleyan from 1967 to 2007. His artwork is represented in numerous major museums in the United States and abroad. Learn more about Kalb and see examples of his artwork at www.martykalb.com.
The Governor’s Residence is open to the public at specific times and by appointment. Tours are available most Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m., noon and 1:30 p.m. Trained volunteers lead guests through the public rooms of the Residence and its Heritage Garden.
