On October 18th at 4PM, the MFL Department will be hosting a guest lecture titled: “Mindful Conceptual Engagement in the Second Language Classroom,” by Dr. Eduardo Negueruela, Universidad de Navarra, Spain. This presentation explores how a Mindful Conceptual Engagement approach to second language teaching is critical for learners to develop a complete understanding and mastery over the new language. Data of a representative selection of beginning L2 Spanish learners as well as pedagogical issues related to classroom teaching will be discussed.
