Ohio Wesleyan now has 12 confirmed cases of influenza and 5 cases of influenza-like illness with symptoms, including body aches and fevers. If you develop a flu-like illness with symptoms including the sudden onset of a fever greater than or equal to 100 degrees, body aches, and/or a cough or sore throat, you should remain isolated until you are fever-free for 24 hours without using fever-reducing medications. Students with these symptoms should call the Student Health Center at (740)368-3160.
To help protect yourself remember to wash your hands, avoid touching your eyes, nose, mouth or face as much as possible and to cough or sneeze into a disposable tissue or elbow of your sleeve.
