Energy drinks contain a whopping five times more caffeine than coffee. These energy drinks will temporarily spike your blood sugar levels, but these levels will eventually crash. Energy drinks often contain high levels of Taurine, a central nervous system stimulant. The crash will cause you to feel more sluggish and exhausted, reaching for another drink.
