As the holidays are fast approaching, many of us wish to continue to assist our community. At this time of year, it is hard for some of us to believe there are people in our community who need our assistance more than ever. There is something that each of us can do to make a difference. Donate!
OWU has work with People In Need for many years and would like to continue to support the organization this year with our annual Holiday Food Drive. We donated 200 pounds from the drive last year. This year we would like to donate more as the need has increased.
Below is the list of items PIN is in most need of this year. However, any donation would be appreciated.
95% of the people accessing the services of PIN are employed or have a stable source of income but are unable to make ends meet.
There will be collection boxes for donations in various locations around campus. We will be using the OWjL office (University Hall room 024) as a collection place as well.
The last day to donate items is Dec. 9.
Every little bit helps. So please support our community and donate something. Let’s make this a wonderful holiday season for all of Delaware!
