Beth Simmons, Andrea Mitchell University Professor in Law and Political Science, University of Pennsylvania, will focus on “The Future of Human Rights.” Simmons has written two award-winning books, and a multitude of articles on a wide range of topics in international relations. She previously served as the director of the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University, worked with the International Monetary Fund, is a past president of the International Studies Association, and has been elected to the National Academy of Sciences & the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.
