Join the Bishop Backers on Feb. 17 for Community Day 2018, a free Delaware celebration at Ohio Wesleyan.
The event will feature a women’s and men’s basketball doubleheader, a Delaware expo with an indoor children’s play area courtesy of the Delaware Community Center YMCA, a visit from Columbus Zoo animals, free raffles for prizes (including a big-screen television) and a chance to learn more about service opportunities and businesses in the community.
The OWU Campus Store will be on site selling official Bishop Backers gear, and some of the Interfaith Service Teams will be selling treats to support their upcoming Spring Break service trips.
Community Day includes free admission with a canned food donation to benefit the Delaware County Hunger Alliance for all who attend the basketball doubleheader.
The Battling Bishops take on the Allegheny Gators. The women’s game tips off at 1 p.m., and the men’s contest follows at 3 p.m. The community expo will be held from noon to 3:30 p.m. in the field house. The zoo will be on campus from 2:15-3:15 p.m.
