Faculty Art Exhibit Opens Today, Reception Dec. 3

All:

We’ve all heard it said that “what goes around, comes around.”  So, guess what’s “coming around” on Thursday of this week?  It’s the 2015 Art Faculty Biennial with the Opening Reception scheduled to occur in the Ross Art Museum between 4:00 and 6:00pm on  Thursday, December 3rd.  This every-other-year event features recently created artwork by seven members of the Fine Arts Department’s studio faculty.  An unusual variety of artistic expressions will be on display throughout three of the museum’s galleries for the viewing pleasure of those who attend this gala event.

Kristina, Cindy, Frank, Jim, Justin, Jeff, and Jon will all be present to welcome the attendees and to discuss any/all of the artwork on display.  And attending the reception gives attendees access to the artists in the presence of their artwork.  While each artist is actively engaged in displaying his/her artwork elsewhere between these biennial group exhibitions, this exhibition marks the first time since December of 2013 that their artwork has been on formal display here on campus.

As is the custom for these Thursday Receptions, food and drink will be served beginning at 4:00pm.  And live music will help make the afternoon gathering that much more enjoyable for all who attend.

Since admission is free and the event is open to all, I invite you to “come around” on Thursday.
