A special invitation to all you fans of poetry, Greek and Roman mythology, epic stories, great teaching, and the beauty of the night:
On Thursday, Oct. 8, at 8 p.m., Perkins Observatory will host the last of this season’s “Astronomy and…” lecture series.
The talk will feature Donald Lateiner, Professor Emeritus in the Humanities/Classics Department. He will speak on “Astronomy and Astropoetry: The ‘Stars’ of Ancient Greek & Roman Epic and Lyric.”
Don represents the best that Ohio Wesleyan has to offer. If you never got a chance to hear him teach, consider a trip down to Perkins on Thursday.
Please invite your coworkers, friends, students, and neighbors, and come along yourself.
I hope you all can join us for this very special event. Call (740) 363-1257 to order tickets or reserve space.
