Immigration is an LGBT Issue.
Ms. Gutiérrez is an outspoken advocate for rights especially for undocumented trans women, and Familia TQLM, the organization to which she belongs, is the only national organization that educates and advocates for issues important to the Latino LGBTQ+ community.
She will talk about how her identities as a transgender woman of color and her immigration status have shaped her activism, and why it is important to speak up about social injustices we face in this country.
