Congratulations to the following 2018 award winners in the Department of Sociology/Anthropology:
Nicole Antonia Olguin: The Corinthia and Orsamus D. Hough Award – granted to a student to secure “practical acquaintance with the underprivileged class.” This award is competitive, and is normally given to pay expenses for work completed during the following summer.
Isabel Anne Taylor, Sarah E. Hanes, Thomas Oliver Moore, III, and Emily Ada Luti: The Janet King Award – Established by alumna Janet King, this award is given to a person whose previous work significantly links research or other academic work to public service.
Meaghan Jean Teitelman: The Faculty Award – outstanding senior major.
Holly Louise Krampitz: The Emily Fitton Writing Award – Established by alumna Emily Fitton, this award is granted to the student who completes the most outstanding research paper in a sociology/anthropology course.
