April 4 – “OUTSIDE” Homeless Queer Youth Documentary Screening

“Outside” is a documentary on Queer youth homelessness. It was produced in 2009. In 2009, the documentary won a Regional Emmy for Best Documentary in its category. The documentary draws attention to the issue that 40% of the homeless population in the US is Queer youth. Queer youth already face serious disadvantages growing up in America, and those that are homeless find daily life even more difficult. The documentary discusses the reasons behind Queer youth homelessness and how society contributes to this.

We will be screening “Outside” in Bayley Room on April 4 at 7:00 p.m. This is a SAGE house project.
