Feb. 27 – “Defining Moment of Deja Vu? Future of Transatlantic Relationship”

For the 29th Annual John Kennard Eddy Memorial Lecture on World Politics, former Deputy National Security Adviser to US Vice President, Julianne Smith, will give a lecture titled “Defining Moment of Deja Vu? Future of Transatlantic Relationship.”

Julianne Smith is Senior Fellow and Director of the Transatlantic Security Program at the Center for a New American Security. She is a contributing editor to Foreign Policy, where she co-edits “Shadow Government.” Smith previously served as the Deputy National Security Adviser to the Vice President of the US, 2012-13; Acting National Security Adviser to the Vice President, 2013; and as Principal Director for European and NATO Policy in the Office of the Secretary of Defense in the Pentagon.
