Oct. 2 – “Community as a Minor Utopia” Creating Social Change in Oaxaca

Monday, 2 October, 7PM in Benes C. The Earlham College Boarder Studies Program (an approved study abroad program at OWU) presents a talk by the Directors of SURCO, a social organization in Oaxaca, Mexico, that creates positive social change via information technologies. SURCO links academic institutions, local communities and organizations to promote food and water sovereignty, urban conviviality, and the defence of indigenous territories and organizations. Come and learn more about SURCO and Oaxaca and the Border Studies Semester Study Abroad program.
