Buildings & Grounds Projects to Impact Campus

Buildings and Grounds reports several initiatives that will impact campus this week. Here is a summary:

  1. July 10 & 11: Fire hydrant flushing across campus. Testing may result in turbid water during this time. Water is still drinkable and should clear after a short delay.
  2. July 12: Water main repairs on academic campus. Water will be shut off for the day in Branch Rickey, Elliott, Merrick, Phillips, and Bigelow Rice. Water will be unavailable for drinking or restroom use. A boil alert will be in effect for the rest of the week.
  3. All week: Tree trimming around high-voltage lines on residential campus. Daily power outages are planned from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Williams Drive residences, Guest House, and President’s House.
  4. All week: Fire alarm and elevator testing at several locations. Buildings will be operational. Fire alarms will sound during testing, and elevators may be temporarily out of service. Affected buildings will be: All fraternities and Williams Drive residences, Ross Art Museum, Meek Aquatics and Recreation Center, and all SLUplexes.

Thank you for your patience and support as the University works to enhance the campus and to provide a positive experience for our Summer Conference guests.
