Children’s Defense Fund’s Freedom Schools is looking for college students to serve as Servant Leader Interns for their 6-week summer internship program. Based in Dayton, Ohio this is a summer program inspiring children to love reading, become culturally aware, and civically engaged. Freedom Schools combats summer learning loss, focusing on children who are below the federal poverty guideline. Interns will help children with reading, conflict resolution, and social action in an activity-based curriculum to promote social, cultural, and historical awareness.
