On Sept. 21, Poets & Writers Reading Series will host two events with novelist and screenwriter Damien Ober. At 12:10 p.m. in the Bayley Room Ober will read from his novel Doctor Benjamin Franklin’s Dream America and later that day at 4:30 p.m., also in the Bayley Room, he will participate in a panel discussion on his adaptation of Robert Olmstead’s novel Far Bright Star for Casey Affleck’s Murderers’ Row Motion Picture Group with Joaquin Phoenix slated for the lead role. Far Bright Star will be Affleck’s directorial debut.
