“New Adventures in Storytelling: Music, Business, Schools, Life” on Sept. 12

In 1988 Bertis Downs originated the Entertainment Law course at the University School of Law. Downs’s main professional interest is the changing legal & business landscape in the digital age of ubiquity. He is an outspoken advocate for our country’s public schools, focused on fighting the growing corporatization of public schools & the ensuing damage to true & effective teaching and learning, as well as to real efforts to strengthen our schools & enhance the teaching profession.

After 20 years of teaching the Entertainment Law class, Downs retired as an Adjunct Professor at UGA Law.
