2-step verification is a great tool to prevent accidental password compromises from phishing and other threats. You can safeguard your account in a few easy steps.
1. Login to your email account
2. Click on your profile (circle icon) in the top right
3. Click on “My Account”
4. Click on “Signing in to Google” under Sign-in & Security
5. Click on “2-Step Verification” on the right
6. Follow the prompts and provide your cell phone number
7. You will receive a text with a code to enter that’s good for 30 days on each device you use
