Virginia M. Weis, Oregon State University
“The regulation of coral-algal symbioses: In sickness and in health” – Dr. Weis is a cell biologist and has done extensive research on the interactions between coral cells and the photosynthetic algal cells that live within them. She will speak on the physiological and ecological aspects of this interrelationship.
