The Friends of the Delaware County District Library (DCDL) have signed a contract with Piper Kerman, author of Orange is the New Black, for a lecture at Gray Chapel at Ohio Wesleyan University on January 20, 2016.
Piper Kerman, author of Orange is the New Black, will give a forty-five minute lecture on her memoir about the 13 months she spent in the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, CT. In her compelling, moving, and often hilarious book, she explores the experience of incarceration and the intersection of her life with the lives of women she met while in prison.
Her lecture begins at 7:00 p.m., followed by audience Q&A. Books will be available for purchase at the event and book signing starts at 8:15 p.m.
