The New York Times coined the term ‘The Labyrinth Movement’ in a front-page article in May 1998. In the last twenty years labyrinth has been placed in cathedrals, hospitals, college campuses, and numerous interfaith settings. But what is a labyrinth and why is it of interest to us today? The Reverend Dr. Lauren Artress will give a historical background, address what we do not know about them, as well as why they are coming back into use in our present day.
Attendees are also invited to the Labyrinth dedication following Dr. Artress’ talk. The Labyrinth is on the North Lawn of Merrick Hall.
