Kim Eckart ’13 Recognized as HelpLine Volunteer of the Year

Ohio Wesleyan staff member Kim Eckart ’13 was honored this week by HelpLine of Delaware and Morrow Counties Inc. with the organization’s Lucile P. Ubben Volunteer of the Year Award.

An international studies and politics and government double-major, Kim has served as a sexual assault volunteer advocate with HelpLine for two years.

In honoring Kim, HelpLine’s Sexual Assault Services team said:

“She goes above and beyond in all aspects of volunteering for HelpLine. … Survivors of sexual assault appreciate her deep compassion and empathy for them in one of the darkest times of their lives. The Sexual Assault Services team appreciates her dedication and commitment to the program and is honored to have her by their side.”

The program for which she volunteers provided 12,714 hours of on-call service and more than 500 interventions to aid sexual assault survivors in Delaware, Morrow, Crawford, and Wyandot counties.

At Ohio Wesleyan, Kim is the administrative assistant to the Vice President for Finance and Administration and Treasurer.Congratulations, Kim, you set a wonderful example for us all!
