Are you thinking about making art a career? Possibly one day working in a commercial art gallery or in an art museum? Or do you aspire to be a working artist who creates artwork to sell? If pursuing any of these professional paths interests you, you are encouraged to consider participation in this year’s Gallery Management class (ART 492). The one-unit class provides hands-on experience handling artwork while laying out and mounting the exhibitions that will be installed in the museum and our two satellite galleries throughout the current school year. Class visits by a wide range of art professionals as well as field trips to regional galleries and museums are features that enhance the learning experience. You do not have to be an art major to participate in the class. Enrollment open to freshmen and sophomores as well as upperclassmen.
