In June, Delaware City Council voted to update its parking enforcement ordinance, which included increasing parking ticket fees. According to the ordinance, which is now in effect, the new fees are as follows:
The fine for overtime parking in metered spaces is:
- $7 (up from $3), if paid by midnight.
- $10 (up from $5), if not paid by midnight.
The fine for overtime parking in non-metered, 2-hour spaces is:
- $40 (up from $10).
