The OWU faculty is offering a free 10-week course \u2013 titled \u201cWe\u2019re in This Together: An Interdisciplinary Exploration of the Coronavirus Pandemic\u201d \u2013 beginning the week of April 27 and concluding the week of June 30. It will meet virtually twice a week \u2013 at 4 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays \u2013 and use lectures, panel discussions, and class questions to explore the lasting effects of COVID-19 on the global society.<\/p>\n
The class is free for everyone, and OWU students are able to register for .25 academic credits. Registration is available at\u00a0owu.edu\/COVIDclass<\/a>.<\/p>\n Credit: Students who watch at least eight presentations, complete eight reading assignments, complete eight of the required discussion board posts, and submit a final one to two page reflection on the course as a whole will receive .25 units of credit for UC150. This credit is only available to students who will be registered at OWU during the Fall 2020 semester and will show up as a Fall 2020 class on your transcript.<\/p>\n Each of the twice-a-week sessions will be either a single 30-40-minute lecture or a panel discussion lasting up to 75 minutes. Optional \u201cMeet the Profs\u201d sessions with that week\u2019s presenters will be held at 4 p.m. Thursdays for students.<\/p>\n
